ARAIANSU : Modern relations between Japan and France began with the signing, on October 9, 1858, of the Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Commerce between the two countries.

This treaty established formal diplomatic relations between the two countries; France, like other great western powers, was able to cooperate to modernization effort for Japan. Relations eventually evolved into exchanges centered on Art and Culture.

More than 150 years after the signing of this Treaty, ARAIANSU (ALLIANCE) is a new example of cultural cooperation: the recording of a work composed especially for the trumpet player Romain Leleu (Victoire de la Musique Classique 2009 in the category "solo  instrumental revelation"), accompanied for the occasion by one of the best japanese wind band (Japan Ground Self Defense Force - 14th Brigade Band) conducted by the composer.

Recounting the great periods of the modern era of Japan and the birth of his Empire, this musical work is divided into four movements:

1. EDO / 2. MEIJI / 3. TAISHO / 4. SHOWA
