Jean-Philippe VANBESELAERE
Composer, Conductor and Director of Conservatory, Jean-Philippe VANBESELAERE discovered his passion for music at Saint-Omer (Pas-de-Calais) where he begins at the National Music School : Solfege, Violin and Saxophone, before joining the Music Conservatory of Lille (Composition, Musical Analysis, Musical Culture, Orchestration, ...), and Conservatory of Tourcoing (Orchestra conducting) and the Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris (Film Music).
Winner of National and International Competitions of Composition, member of SACEM (Society of Writers, Composers and Music Publishers), SACD (Society of Composers and Dramatic Writers) and WASBE (World Association for Symphonic Band and Ensemble) since a number of years, he regularly adds to his repertoire : educational books, original works and arrangements (chamber music, symphony music, jazz, music for wind ensembles, music for stage and audiovisual works, ...) which are regularly broadcasted on the radio and television. Author of a book on instrumentation, he has received very good reviews from specialist magazines. His works are performed and recorded by the most prestigious orchestras and soloists of international renown.
Jean-Philippe VANBESELAERE is also well-known for his experience in orchestra conducting : guest conductor in France and abroad, he’s regularly invited to conduct the repertoire pieces and his own compositions during recording sessions, festivals or concerts; he’s often invited to participate in workshops, master class, internships and conferences, or as a jury member of national and international competitions.
